Architectural Digest, the international authority on design and architecture, and Black Interior Designers Inc. announce the return of the historically successful industry-wide initiative, the Iconic Home, an all-Black virtual designer Showhouse visualised by The Boundary.
In every iteration of the Iconic Home, a central theme of the showhouse offers a unique perspective for the talents to anchor their designs. This year, the nine new design talents participating will illuminate the nuances of multi-generational living, spotlighting the latest innovations and ideas defining what it means to live well – together.
Architect Tosin Oshinowo of Oshinowo Studio designed this year’s modernist-inspired home, considering the footprint and design elements needed to represent an innovative, modern space that can be passed down through generations.
“This year’s theme for the Iconic Home feels very relevant,” Amy Astley, AD’s global editorial director and US editor-in-chief, says. “As more young adults and multiple generations find themselves under the same roof, our wholly original virtual experience celebrates intergenerational living, offering unique and creative inspiration for how people of all ages can seamlessly share a beautiful home.”
Following past years success, the virtual home tours will allow visitors to “walk” through the house, discovering each designer’s unique perspective. AD provides a deeper dive into the architects, designers, and artists who lead the creative direction of the showhouse.
